❛ but sometimes the greatest or funniest things come to us when we’re not trying. very many humans have created things that changed the world, and they did it by accident.

Not like he has control of magic either. He doesn’t have much of his own; just the kind that does simple things like teleport him and the like. The only real magic he can use is when he needs it to save a person. He supposes he should probably work on learning actual magic in case he needs to defend himself…though when he’s angry enough he tends to be able to use magic without thinking about it.
❛ this place ? it’s sort of a gateway— there are some places on this planet that are boundaries with where i’m from, which is on another plane. so nothing seems entirely real, and you might see some strange illusions. it’s alright. earth is usually connected with quite a few planes. it makes sense that the lines might be blurred occasionally.

“What about humans?”
They hadn’t been talking about humans, had they? At least, they hadn’t as far as the fox was aware. He didn’t associate magic with humans much at all, so the jump caught him off guard. He might have asked some follow-up question had the other not went on to answer his questions–one of them, at least. The response left much to be desired.
“But who are you?” he pressed. “Or, I guess, what are you? You aren’t human.”
