|| 雪 || :: There had been more people around the Shrine as of late. The thought came as a warning and slight irritation to the nine-tailed fox guarding the last remaining of her parents’ legacy. Whether it was from the rumors that humans tended to spread around regarding the spirits (or what they believed was ghosts) or anything else, she didn’t know. All she knew was that they were disturbing the peace of this holy ground and she wasn’t going to sit still. The sound footsteps clicking against the stairs, leading up to the very Shrine caused the fox to perk. Walking out from her hiding of the trees and bushes, the fox guardian confronted the stranger, only to be greeted by such familiar scent and aura. That halted her at her steps.
“You’re… not human..” She didn’t waste anytime, words direct and straight to the point, not masking that she knew what he was. This scent… It was unmistakable. But how could it be? “…Fox.. You’re a fox.. what business do you have here?”
{ 白; } Shiro had taken a wrong turn somewhere, he was sure, but he didn’t mind where he ended up. Though he’d never gotten to wander around the one where he was raised, he knew without a doubt that he’d managed to reach a shrine. Something like nostalgia bubbled up; granted, what did he miss about his past? He’d been confined due to being weak, almost never getting to even interact with anyone else. Did he miss being alone? Either way, someone had approached him, someone with a very pleasant scent, and he had to shift his attention.
“I am a fox,” he confirmed, albeit he only said it because he knew that the girl was one as well. “And uh, I think I got lost somewhere. I’m not really familiar with this area, so…”
