It clearly takes a moment for the kid’s response to
register; Kaen stares at him blankly, until his eyes
widen. It looks as though he might start yelling, but
he seems to look both ways before grabbing the
stranger and pulling him into the nearest quiet place.
“How d’you know that,” he hisses, only turning to face
the kitsune when he’s certain they’re alone as they
can get in a public space. “What are you? Some
super-sniffer child detective?”
{ 白; } The grip wasn’t exactly rough, but the fox wasn’t built to be manhandled either way; as such, he whined a bit in protest, albeit he didn’t do much else to resist being dragged. It stopped soon enough either way, and the questions gained his attention once more.
It certainly didn’t seem like a safe thing to answer so easily. Shiro blinked as he considered his options. “Yes…?” he guessed, sounding quite unsure of the answer. “I can… smell things well. So why do you smell like both fox and human?”
